ARAMID-MICA PAPER

Aramid-Mica Paper

This special type of mica paper incorporates a small percentage (~2-5%) by weight of aramid material.

Aramid imparts added advantages to mica paper: superior tensile and dielectric strengths, negligible mica fly, retention of tensile strength when wetted (for added flexibility during tape winding), superior resistance to corona discharge and superior thermal fatigue performance.

We have invented our own methodology for the processing of aramid material in order to produce an aramid-mica paper unequalled in its consistency and performance.

Aramid-mica paper may be later laminated to glass fibre scrim on one or both sides or to film.

Aramid-mica paper has application in electrical insulation tapes.

Aramid paper may be sputter-coated with Cu/Ni to produce a conductive paper for RFI applications.
